Charles Rampersaud, President and Chief Executive Officer

Charles Rampersaud joined ReVENT® Medical as its first employee in early 2012 as Chief Operating Officer, and was promoted to CEO in 2014. Prior to joining ReVENT, he served as Vice President of Engineering at AcelRx Pharmaceuticals for six years. As the 4th employee, he created and managed the design of their innovative patient controlled analgesia device. Before AcelRx, Charlie was the Director of Engineering at Apneon, working on sleep apnea devices. Previous to Apneon, he served as Director of Engineering at Durect Corporation, where he designed implantable pain pumps and other pain products.  Prior to Durect Corporation, Charlie was an Engineering manager at Guidant (now Abbott) in the Cardiac Division.  He came to Guidant via the Guidant acquisition of CardioThoracic Systems, where he worked on off-pump cardiac bypass surgery solutions. He started his career as a Designer for Honda Research and Development, which included a year of training in Japan at Honda Design Headquarters. Additionally, he has consulted for several medical device start-ups on design and development, including IP discovery. Charlie has several issued patents, and numerous pending. He has over 15 years of design, development, and manufacturing experience in the Medical Device arena and has worked on greater than 25 medical device and pharmaceutical products. Charlie holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. 

Stefan Fällgren, Vice President Business Development

Stefan joined ReVENT Medical, Inc. in July 2012 from life science venture capital investor HealthCap (Stockholm, Sweden), where he worked as investment professional. Prior to HealthCap, Stefan held the positions as Vice President Investment Banking at Kaupthing Bank (Stockholm, Sweden), Vice President at alternative investment firm ACP Capital (London, United Kingdom), Partner at life science-focused advisor InVivo Communications (Stockholm, Sweden) and Analyst Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank (London, United Kingdom). In addition, Stefan sits on the Board of Directors of Swedish-based MIPS AB. Stefan has a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics and National University of Singapore.

AnnaMarie Daniels, Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs

AnnaMarie Daniels is a microbiologist and biochemist by training, holds multiple patents, and has authored and contributed to dozens of peer reviewed articles and abstracts on subjects ranging from in vitro assays to breast cancer prevention. For the last 35 years, she has held technical and executive level positions in start-up and development stage pharmaceutical and medical device companies working in the areas of implantable biomaterials, oncology, women’s health, pain, urology, and interventional neuroradiology. AnnaMarie has been responsible for all aspects of company operations and has specific expertise in design and implementation of clinical and regulatory strategy for innovative products. Prior to joining ReVENT Medical, she led the botulinum neurotoxin program at Johnson & Johnson, the clinical research program for Boston Scientific Neuromodulation, and served as an independent consultant for a number of pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

Stefan Hosten, Clinical Director Europe

Stefan Hosten joined ReVENT Medical in September of 2015, bringing an extensive international network in the industry and over 20 years of expertise in field technical and OR support, patient and physician education, surgical training, and clinical operations proficiency. Prior to joining ReVENT, Stefan led the European Clinical and Technical Operations at Cyberonics.  He later founded a service company that provides clinical operations services for medical device companies.  As an independent consultant, he has held clinical engineering and operations positions for a number of companies including Cordis (J&J), Medtronic (Spinal & Biologics and Aortic and Peripheral Disease Management dept.), St. Jude Medical  (Neuromodulation), Neurotech, Sorin (now LivaNova), Apnex Medical, Protip Medical, Intersect ENT, Mainstay Medical Ldt., and ECCRT.
